Rabat - Morocco strongly condemned the "despicable" terrorist attack perpetrated Thursday against a camp of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) in the region of Gao, northern Mali.
"The Kingdom of Morocco condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack perpetrated Thursday against a camp of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) in Asango, the region of Gao, killing at least three people and injuring members of MINUSMA peacekeepers," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Presenting its sincere condolences and sympathy to Malian authorities and the victims' families, Morocco expresses its solidarity with MINUSMA and "hails the efforts of the Mission and the States that contribute to achieving peace and security in Mali and safeguarding its unity and sovereignty," the ministry underlined.
"The Kingdom of Morocco reiterates its firm condemnation of this despicable terrorist act and its categorical rejection of terrorism in all its forms," the same source added.
