Rabat- For the first time in the history of Morocco, King Mohammed VI appoints a woman governor of one of the regions of the country.
On Tuesday, King Mohammed Vi appointed Zineb El Adaoui as governor of the region Gharb-Chrarda-Beni Hssen, in the the province of Kenitra, making her the first woman to hold this position.
This appointment is part of a vast movement of appointments of walis and governors of the different regions of the country. Zineb El Adaoui hitherto occupied the position of Regional Director of the Court of Auditors of Rabat.
