Rabat – Minister Delegate for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mbarka Bouaida said that the Palestinian issue is a priority for the Moroccan diplomacy just like the national cause.
Bouaida, who appeared on Moroccan TV channael Al Oula ‘s “Qadaya wa arae” on Saturday, said the Moroccan diplomacy, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, as well as the action on the ground of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, provide significant support to the Palestinian cause.
The royal speech at the Marrakech meeting of Al-Quds Committee, “which took place at a crucial time and in a context marked by an unprecedented escalation of the Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, in addition to the latest development in the negotiation process under the auspices of the United States,” was “straightforward, clear and strong in terms of meaning, content and vision”, culminating in a “global and comprehensive” final declaration.
For his part, Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Rabat , Amine Abou Hacirra, described as smart the timing of the meeting in the sense that the Palestinians are in a pressing need for support in the light of the provocative policies of Israel aimed at driving them from their land and establishing new colonies.
Special Envoy of the United Kingdom for the peace process in the Middle East, Sir Vincent Fean welcomed, for his part, the decision to hold this meeting, highlighting the important role played by the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to promote peace in the world.
