Riyadh - The Saudi Council of Ministers approved, Monday in Riyadh, an agreement on cooperation in the field of mutual recognition of driving licenses between Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
Signed in March 2014 in Marrakech, the agreement stipulates that a driver's license holder from one of the two countries shall be given a matching license from the other country without any theoretical or practical test provided that the license is valid in accordance with the regulations applicable in the state in which it was requested.
By virtue of this agreement, nationals of the contracting parties - who obtained visit visas - shall be also permitted to drive private vehicles, under a valid driving license issued by the competent authorities in both countries.
