Teheran - Communication Minister, Government Spokesperson Mustapha El Khalfi urged, Wednesday in Teheran, media outlets of Islamic countries to fight the phenomenon of Islamophobia and support the Palestinian cause.
Speaking at the opening of the 10th Islamic conference of information ministers, held in Teheran, the official said that the current situation calls for reinforcing efforts to fight the phenomenon of Islamophobia and strive to make sure that the UN takes practical decisions against Islamophobia and hostile campaigns targeting Islam which advocates tolerance and moderation, and rejects violence and extremism.
El Khalfi underlined the role of the press in favor of the Palestinian cause, calling on media outlets belonging to Islamic countries to focus on relates events within international forums to avoid that current events overshadow the sufferings of the Palestinian people.
He recalled efforts made by Al Quds Committee, chaired by King Mohammed VI, to defend the legitimate rights of Palestinians and preserve the Arab and Islamic identity of Al Quds.
