Rabat - Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, whose health has been degrading since he suffered a stroke last year, is now hospitalized in France.
"He was taken into care at Grenoble clinic yesterday," a source told Reuters on Friday.
No one at this time knows the details for his hospitalization. Algerian authorities are not making any statement at this time.
In the last few weeks, Bouteflika has met many foreign dignitaries and approved several ambassadorships that were placed on hold due to his illness. During those meetings, the Algerian president did not look in optimum shape and only made very brief statements.
