Rabat - The Delegation of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) in Warsaw reported that the number of Polish tourists who visited Morocco in 2013 has increased 15% compared to 2012.

This growth paves the way for Moroccan tourism to strengthen its presence in the market of Eastern Europe.

According to Moroccan daily newspaper Al-Massaa, 47,000 Polish tourists visited Morocco in 2013. While 2012 saw the arrival of only 41,000 Polish tourists, it makes the Kingdom one of the main destinations for Pole .

This number is believed to grow in 2014, due to an attractive advertising campaign, combined with the strong presence of Morocco in the 2nd edition of the International Exhibition Podró?e (Travel). This exhibition was held in the national stadium in Warsaw last December.

The remarkable Moroccan presence in this exhibition attracted the attention of Poles, especially since this event was covered by “Murator,” the largest media group in Poland.

Aware that the market of Eastern Europe is a growing market with high added value, the ONMT in Warsaw introduced a new policy to reach 100,000 Polish visitors to Morocco in the coming years.
