The American actor was found dead in his Greenwich Village apartment in Manhattan, according to reports from the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post.
The cause of the death is still under investigation and police rushed to the scene immediately after it received a phone call at 11:15 am (1615 GMT), according to an official quoted by AFP.
