Rabat- Moroccan national football team qualified for the quarter-finals of the African Nations Championship for local players after beating Uganda 3-1 Monday at the Cape Town stadium.
The members of the national team, who play their first CHAN, secured their qualification to the second round thanks to the goals scored Rafik Abdessamad (29th), Mohsine Iajour (77th) and Abdelkebir El Wady (90 +2 e). The unique goal of Ugandans was was scored by Yunus Sentamu (60th minute).The second ticket of the groupg was secured by Zimbabwe after it beat Burkina Faso (1-0).
The Moroccan team, the first of Group B will play its place in the semi-final against Nigeria, 2nd of Group A on Saturday (15:00 GMT) at Cape Town Stadium.
