According to Spanish newspaper Marca Neymar da Silva Santos Junior will officially join the squads of F.C. Barcelona next season.
The same source added that the directions of the F.C Barcelona and the Brazilian club Santos reached an agreement, in accordance with which the Brazilian star will play with the Catalan club for five years.
His transfer is believed to cost Barcelona around 50 million euros, and the player will earn an annual salary worth 7 million euros.
The Brazilian club Santos announced that, after it received two proposals, one from F.C Barcelona and another one from Real Madrid, it let the player choose his new destination.
In an earlier a statement to the press on Saturday, Jordi Roura, the current assistant manager of F.C Barcelona, refrained from confirming Neymar's transfer to the Catalan club, although he acknowledged that the Brazilian is a "spectacular player."
"Let things take their course. He is a spectacular player and any club would like to have him," he was quoted by Spanish news agency EFE as saying.
