Taroudant- According to L’ Economist, Abdelkader Amara, Minister of Industry, Trade and New Technologies, announced that its ministry finalized a draft law for a shared infrastructure between the Moroccan telecom operators IAM, Inwi and Méditel.
The draft law aims at creating a system of national roaming, which will allow mobile subscribers to use the network of any national operators available in the area in which they are located.
The mobile network coverage is weak or nonexistent in certain remote places in Morocco.
The National Agency of Telecommunications Regulation (ANRT) said, in a statement, that the number of mobile subscribers in Morocco increased by 7.93% with 41,324,195 mobile subscribers as of the end of September 2013.
