Morocco accused of hiring witches to prevent Algeria from qualifying to the World Cup

Fez- An Algerian newspaper accused Morocco of using witchcraft to prevent Algeria from reaching the World Cup.

Algerian press has gone wild against Morocco. After the tension that broke out between Morocco and Algeria in recent weeks over the Sahara issues, it appears that some Algerian newspapers are intent on fanning hatred between both countries and their respective leaders.

An Algerian newspaper has gone as far as accusing Morocco or what it calls the “Makhzen” (Morocco’s deep state) of hiring witches to prevent the Algerian soccer team from qualifying to the FIFA World Cup, which is scheduled to take place next summer in Brazil.

“Morocco has hired a number of its most dangerous witches to spoil Algeria’s attempts to qualify to the World Cup,” said the Algerian newspaper Echorouk, adding that this “scheme was welcomed by the Burkinabe, who apparently accepted the deal and benefited from the services of dangerous witches, which the Makhzen has been accustomed to use against its enemies inside and outside of Morocco.”

The Algerians newspapers delirious report did not stop here. It added, based on what it called it sources, that Makhzen is the one that took the initiative to invite Burkina Faso to organize its concentration in Morocco, adding that the selection of Burkina Faso tried to take advantage of the tension between Morocco and Algeria in order to win its final match against the Algerian team.
