Amsterdam -The Netherlands welcomed the initiative taken by King Mohammed VI to adopt a new comprehensive policy on immigration and to take on this challenge in collaboration with Morocco's international partners.
"Given the complexity of immigration challenges facing not only Morocco but also other countries of the region and the European Union, the Netherlands highly welcome this initiative and Morocco's intention to take on this challenge in collaboration with its international partners", said the Dutch foreign department in a release.
The release says the Dutch authorities have noted with "great interest" the sovereign's call to adopt a new immigration policy and stressed the importance of cooperation as part of the partnership for mobility pact signed recently between Morocco and the EU.
As signatory of this pact, the Netherland is looking forward to collaborating with Morocco to achieve its ambition to develop a national immigration policy and reach other agreements on larger issues associated with immigration.
