Rabat - Real Madrid is said to be interested in signing Moroccan international Medhi Benatia during the summer transfer window.
According to Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Spanish giants are eyeing the Bayern Munich defender as a potential replacement to Manchester United target Sergio Ramos.
Sergio Ramos appears more and more likely on his way from the Bernabeu. The World Cup winner is reportedly eager to secure a move to Manchester United this summer.
The Red Devils are also said to have lodged a £28m bid for the 29-year-old defender. However, reports suggest Real Madrid is setting the price for their player at whopping 100 million euros.
Ramos has two years remaining on his contract with Real Madrid.
If rumors are to be believed and Madrid eventually sign Benatia, then the former AS Roma defender will become the first Moroccan ever to play for Real Madrid.
