Young Girl Gets Highest Score in Morocco’s Baccalaureate Exam

Rabat - Inass El Moutaz, a high school student from El Jadida received the highest Baccalaureate exams score in Morocco, scoring 19.46 out of 20, the Ministry of Education announced on Friday.

Baccalaureate results from the June session were announced late on Tuesday on the official website of the Ministry of Education and on Taalim.ma.

In 2015, 22,186 students took the exam in the Doukkala-Abda region with 46.41% of those students passing. 8,740 successfully passed all the written exams and obtained the Baccalaureate degree, while 9,834 who failed to pass will retake the exam on the second week of July.

Al Hadraoui Amatou Al Samii from Sidi Bennour in the Doukkala-Abda region scored 19.16, the highest Baccalaureate score obtained by a student from a public school.

The number of Moroccan students who took the national baccalaureate exams in 2015 has climbed to 507,413, marking an increase of 2.9% compared to 2014.
