Rabat- King Mohammed VI granted royal pardon to the brother of Moroccan pilot who died in Yemen earlier this month.
The brother of Moroccan pilot Yassine, whose F-16 crashed in Yemen earlier this month, has reportedly benefited from a royal pardon on Wednesday. Abdelaziz Bahti was sentenced to one year in prison for drug-related charges.
King Mohammed VI granted pardon to Abdelaziz the brother of Lieutenant Yassine Bahti who died in Yemen while on a mission for the Saudi-led military coalition to restore legitimacy in the crisis-hit Arab country.
The 22-year-old Abdelaziz Bahti was sentenced to one year imprisonment for drug trafficking. He was released after serving two months of his sentence.
Abdelaziz was also allowed to attend the burial ceremony of his brother at the Shuhada Cemetery on May 20th in Casablanca.
Noureddine Bahti, the father of Yassine and Abdelaziz, reportedly asked King Mohammed VI to grant pardon to his son during an audience the monarch had granted him on May 20th in Casablanca.
