Meknes - The Moroccan Green Plan, an ambitious strategy launched in 2008, is a success story which helped in the development of the Moroccan agriculture sector, said, Monday in Meknes, Spanish agriculture, food and environment minister Isabel Garcia Tejerina.
In a statement to the press, following a meeting with Moroccan peer Aziz Akhannouch on the sidelines of the 8th Agriculture Conference themed "Inventing the future's agriculture: a project for all", the Spanish official described as strategic the agriculture sector on which the two parties should reinforce their cooperation.
The meeting was an occasion for the two sides to assess the evolution of the Moroccan agriculture and think about its development through collaboration.
It also helped to discuss ways to address challenges related to the management of water resources and insurances.
Held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, this yearly event is the crossroads for national and international agriculture decision-makers and is meant to develop visions on prospects for an agriculture that could address challenges related to the sector.
