Rabat - Dutch-Moroccan Abdelaziz Aouragh has denied rumors that his Al Asira shop specializing in sensual oils is planning to open a "halal sex shop" that sells "Islamically-approved" sex products in the cradle of Islam, Mecca.
International media have been reporting extensively on the matter saying that Abdelaziz Aouragh, a second-generation Amsterdammer of Moroccan descent, is expected to open what they dubbed as a "halal sex shop" in Mecca, one of the holiest sites for Muslims and the center of the Islamic faith.
"There have been media reports of a "halal sex shop" to be opened in Mecca. This is a false report. We are not a sex shop in anyway let alone a halal sex shop, whatever that may be," said Abdelaziz Aouragh in an official statement.

The Moroccan was also reported that he would be allying with Germany's largest erotic retailer, Beate Uhse, for the selling of Islam-appropriate sex toys in his mecca store.
"We have the ambition to open a concept store. That's something totally different. Unfortunately media worldwide have taken that article as their reference, without taking the time and effort to just simply ask El Asira," the CEO and Founder of Al Asira added.
While he said that his Amsterdam-based shop is specializing in selling products that increase feelings of sensuality and improve the atmosphere between married couples, he denied selling blow-up dolls or vibrators, adding that El Asira provides products such as oils, creams and lotions which do not violate Islamic rules.
