Rabat- The economic crisis that has been affecting a large segment of the Spanish population since 2008 is pushing some members (socios) of FC Barcelona to resell their seats for high-demand matches, such as the much-anticipated Clasico, which will pit the Catalan club against its archrival, Real Madrid.
According to Spanish sports newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, one out of every three Barcelona members, almost 30,000 fans, will resell theirs tickets today.
According to the same source, the increased demand for tickets to attend one of the most watched games in football has reached a new record this time around. This demand from travel agencies and tourists lures a sizable proportion of Barcelona members to resell their passes to Arab, Chinese, and Russians tourists, who are ready to pay any price to attend the match.
The price of the tickets varies between 1,000 and 2,000 euros depending on the location of the seats in the stadium.
