Taroudante- Morocco won the Best Stand award on Thursday at the International Travel and Tourism Exhibition, held in Moscow, Russia from March 18 to 21, 2015.
The Exhibition is Russia’s largest and longest running travel exhibition.
This award went to the Moroccan stand to recognize that it had the best organization, decoration, and exhibition.
The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), which oversaw the Moroccan stand, dedicated space for tourism promoters, representatives of travel agencies, private room to welcome guests to the Morocco stand, and a pavilion reserved for the Royal Air Maroc, Morocco state-owned airline.
Built on an area of 255 m², the Moroccan stand presented a variety of Moroccan tourism products, particularly seaside, mountain, Sahrawi, and business tourism, as well as promoting some new hotel products and services.
As part of its tourism vision, Morocco aspires to attract about 2 million Russian tourists annually by 2020.
With over 2,056 participating companies and more than 200 destinations, the Russian exhibition is “the key meeting place for the industry and an opportunity to catch up with colleagues and clients.”
According to the Exhibition’s official website, “it enables participants to increase awareness of their destination, gain a real feel for the Russian travel market and gauge demand for their services.”
