Rabat- Islamic State (IS) militants, known also as ISIS have vowed to take over Rome and throw “homosexuals from the Leaning Tower of Pizza.”
The threats come a few days after jihadists responsible for the beheading of 21 Coptic Egyptians in Libya warned that they would conquer the Italian capital.
Using the hashtag #We_Are_Coming_O_Rome, the group’s sympathizers on Twitter posted messages vowing to bring Sharia law to Italy.

A Twitter account linked to the terrorist group wrote, “#We_Are_Coming_O_Rome, we will conquer & establish the justice of #Sharia. We will use your leaning tower of pizza to throw off homosexual.”
The tweets prompted mocking responses from Twitter users. One user posted a meme of Russell Crowe from the move Gladiator with the message “So you are coming to Rome, let me entertain you.”
The threats, however, are being taken seriously off Twitter. In the wake of the threat, the Italian security chiefs have approved plans to put 4,800 soldiers on the country’s streets and near sensitive areas, such as tourist attractions and archaeological sites, to help prevent potential terrorist attacks.
