Rabat- Several northern regions of the Kingdom will witness heavy rainstorms with strong winds starting on Tuesday, according to the National Meteorological Directorate.
In a special weather warning, the National Weather Service announced that during the period from Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. to Thursday midnight, rainfall is expected to reach 150 and 200 mm, in three days in Tetouan M'diq Fnideq, Fahs-Anjra, Wad Lau and Chefchaouen, in northern Morocco.
In the other northern cities of Al Hoceima, Nador and Driouch the rainfall will vary from 70 to 120 mm.
Up to 50 and 90 mm of rain are also expected in Taza, Guercif, Boulmane, Midelt, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Errachidia and Zagora, during same period.
Strong winds of 60 to 80 km / h are expected, during Tuesday and Wednesday, in the provinces of Ouarzazate, Errachidia, Figuig, Al Haouz, Azilal, Midelt and Tinghir.
According to forecasts, significant snowfall is expected to fall between Tuesday and Friday on the heights of Al Hoceima, Taza, Chefchaouen, Ifrane, Sefrou, Khénifra, Azilal, Midelt, Boulemane, Tinghir Al Haouz, Errachidia, Ouarzazate, Bouarfa and Figuig.
Several regions of the Kingdom will witness a significant decrease in temperature.
