Rabat - Africa’s leading online hotel booking platform has released a list of the top business destinations on the continent, and Morocco’s economic capital Casablanca had made the cut at number 3.
According to the list, this is due in large part to Casablanca’s investments in Central and West Africa and the breakthrough efforts of Moroccan companies such as Royal Air Morocco, Youssoufia Phosphates, and Attijariwafabank. All three, in addition to other national companies, are known for their innovative economic strategies.
Furthermore, Casablanca’s cultural and trade agreements have placed Morocco directly behind South Africa as Africa’s second recipient of foreign direct investments.
The list is topped by Lagos and Abidjan, respectively, due in part to the rapidly increasing GDPs of both countries. Casablanca is followed by Johannesburg, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, and Kampala.
