Rabat- Abdelilah Benkirane, the Head of the Moroccan government, denounced the "brutal campaign" of attacks targeting Muslims in some Western countries.
Speaking at the Thursday meeting of the Government Council, Benkirane condemned the recent aggression and discrimination directed towards Moroccans and other people of the Muslim faith, that "exceeded the bounds of reason" in some Western countries.
In this respect, the Head of Government denounced the recent abuse of a nine-year-old Moroccan boy by a security officer at a train station in Malmo, Sweden, the stabbing to death of another Moroccan in France, and the fatal shooting of three Muslim students in North Carolina, USA on Tuesday.
While reaffirming that "we make no difference between a Muslim and non-Muslim," the Head of Government stressed that "Muslims have the right to be protected and that these crimes should elicit a collective and firm denunciation."
