Rabat- A man of Moroccan origin was questioned by the Belgian police after his neighbors had complained about the presence of veiled women in his house, Alyoum24 news website reported.
The man, identified as Ramzi bin Attiq, wrote on his personal Facebook page saying that his neighbors informed local authorities of “unusual movement” when they apparently noticed the presence of many women wearing the Islamic veil, coming in and out of the house where he has been living for years.
Ramzi bin Attiq said that the “strange” incident came to an end when he finally managed to explain to the police that the veiled women showed up to his house in order to offer condolences to him and his family after the passing away of his grandmother.
He added that the Police asked him to understand the fears and concerns of his neighbors fueled by some media outlets in the wake of the terrorist attacks in France last month and the recent manhunt of suspected terrorists in Belgium.
