Rabat - Morocco and France will resume judicial cooperation, the French Justice Ministry said in statement on Saturday.

Morocco suspended cooperation agreements with France a year ago after French authorities accused Abdellatif Hammouchi, the head of the Moroccan secret services (DGST), of torture.

The judicial move had been prompted by lawsuits filed against the Moroccan official in France by Moroccan activists.

Moroccan Justice Minister Mustapha Ramid is reported to have flown to Paris on Thursday to hold meetings with his French counterpart Christiane Taubira to discuss judicial cooperation between the two countries.
