Rabat - Several cars and trucks were swept away by flooding, blocking the road traffic for hours in Guelmim on Sunday morning after the heavy rain that fell in the Southern region.

According to several media reports, the deaths toll could reach 20 people.

Three victims were killed when a car crashed into a river near Bouizegrane, (near Guelmim province south of Morocco).

Eleven others, among them three women and a 9-year-old child were killed after a bus was swept away by floods while it was trying to cross the Bridge of Timissourt River, near Bouizegrane, earlier on Sunday.
