Rabat- A foreign national of French nationality suspected of sexually abusing 11 children was arrested in Marrakech on Monday.
According to Alyaoum24, an elderly French man believed to be in his sixties was arrested after a passing-by police patrol noticed his dubious behavior towards a child in a semi-dark place.
Security sources cited by the Arabic-speaking website said that the man in question approached the child in a way that indicated he was trying to kiss him on the cheek.
The same source added that a photo of the child showing him wearing only his underwear was found in possession of the French national.
The police reportedly listened to the statement of the child who said that the elderly man was permanently forcing him into having sex with him, adding that his brother was also subject to the same shocking practices.
The authorities said four other children confirmed that the Frenchman was inviting them to his house in addition to buying them ice cream and toys. Yet, they did not mention that the French man was forcing them into having sex with him.
The suspect, who has been living in Morocco for two years, continues to deny that he sexually abused minor children, saying that he only offered to help them, added Alyaoum24.
