Rabat - Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy Moulay Hafid El Alalmy met, on Monday in Rabat, with Spanish Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism José Manuel Soria on the development of partnership the in sectors of car industry, renewable energy, shipbuilding and industrial technical centers.
During this meeting, the two sides hailed the positive evolution of bilateral economic ties marked by a strong synergy and the privileged role of the two countries as strategic partners in the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean.
On prospects for the development of bilateral trade relations, El Alamy underscored the need to boost the emergence of new economic conditions propitious for the creation of wealth and aimed at a shared competitiveness via notably the strengthening of productive investment based on a joint development strategy.
"The goal is to develop a win-win partnership while making sure to respect an objective convergence of respective interests," he added.
The minister underlined that the Moroccan industrial market's new dynamic, triggered by the 2014-2020 industrial acceleration plan, will offer opportunities for a mutually beneficial Moroccan-Spanish partnership.
Soria confirmed the interest by Spanish entrepreneurs in developing projects in Morocco, projects with common value added that benefit from the industrial sector's know-how and expertize.
