Rabat - Heavy thundery showers could hit, this weekend, several regions of the Kingdom mainly the middle, high and anti Atlas, as well as the southern provinces, the national weather service announced.
The severe weather is forecast in the cities Ouarzazate, Taroudante, Boulemane, Azilal, Tinghir, Midelt, Chichaoua, Ifrane, Assa-Zag, Zagoura, Tata, Smara, Guelmime, Khénifra, Béni Mellal, Kalâa Sraghna, Tiznit, Chtouka, Ait Baha, Sidi Ifni, Berrechid, Taza, Guercif, Sefrou et Fquih Ben Saleh and the region of Al Haouz.
Rain and showers sometimes thundery could also hit Essaouira, Safi, El Jadida, Sidi Bennour Rhamna , Settat , Marrakech , Khemisset and Taourirt, the same source added.
