New York - King Mohammed VI of Morocco, who will be traveling to New York in the coming days, will take part in the UN Climate Change Summit, which will be in New York next Monday on the sidelines of the General Debate of the sixty-ninth session of the United Nations General Assembly.

More than 120 heads of state and government have committed to participating in this summit convened by the UN Secretary General Ban ki-moon.

According to a UN official document obtained by Morocco World News, King Mohammed VI is first on the list of speakers of the morning meeting, which will be chaired by the French President, Francois Holland, and Peruvian President, Ollanta Humala. The summit will be held in three rooms.

According to the UN website, the number of heads of state and government who will attend the 2014 Climate Summit is higher than in the 2009 Climate Change Summit, held in Copenhagen.

King Mohammed VI is also expected to address the United Nations General Assembly on the first day of the General Debate, which will kick off next Wednesday.
