Rabat- According to Spanish sports newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Lionel Messi’s hometown Rosario in Argentina, may be banned from naming their newborns “Messi”.
Official in the town that saw the birth of the four times world best player of the year are insisting that a law be voted to ban people from naming their babies “Messi”. The goal behind their endeavor is to "avoid confusion," according to the same source, which quotes Radio 2 of Rosario.
“Officials said they wanted also anticipate the expected flood of applications in Rosario after a fellow citizen, Hector Varela, managed to name her newborn Messi in the province of Rio Grande,” the same source added.
