Rabat - Moroccan King Mohammed VI is due to participate in the General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly scheduled to be held at the UN headquarters in New York during the period from September 24 to October 1.
About 140 heads of state and government are expected to take part in this year’s UN major gathering.
According to a UN document obtained by Morocco World News, the Moroccan monarch is due to address the 193 Assembly on the first morning of the General debate. He is number 12 on the list of speakers after Brazil, the United States, Uganda, Spain, Mauritania, Chile, Republic of Korea, Qatar, Armenia, Liberia and France.
This will be the fourth time King Mohammed VI takes part in the General debate of the UN General Assembly after 2003, 2004 and 2010 when he addressed the UN Summit on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
