Tunis- Government Chief Abdelilah Benkirane called, here Monday, for providing political, economic and financial support to Tunisia to achieve its democratic process and promote its stability and security.
"Tunisia has managed, through national consensus, to overcome perilous moments and maintain its stability," Benkirane said at the opening ceremony of the International Conference "Investing in Tunisia, Start-up Democracy," calling for providing support to this country to reinforce its security and promote its development.
Tunisia, which is fighting valiantly to consolidate these assets, "needs the support of all its friends," he said, adding that the "capital" should show courage to contribute to achieve theses ends. "The success of Tunisia is a failure to terrorism," he underlined.
Morocco's participation in this meeting is a duty owed to the historical brotherhood and ties between the countries of the region, he noted.
More than 30 states and 20 international financial and economic institutions are taking part in the conference, along with 27 multinational companies, investment funds and international banks (IMF, WB, EIB, JBIC), as well as six international organisations and senior officials from foreign countries.
