Fez -Following his ongoing attacks on the ruling Islamic party, Secretary General of the opposing party Istiqlal, Hamid Chabat asked the head of the Moroccan government, Abdelilah Benkirane to address his alleged relationship with the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIS).
During Monday's joint parliament session, Hamid Chabat asked the Secretary General of the ruling Justice and Development party, Abdellah Benkirane to reveal the nature of his party’s alleged ties with the ISIS to the public.
Hamid Chabat also asked Benkirane to clarify whether he has any connection to the Al-Nusrah front, which is a branch of Al-Quaeda's operation in Syria.
Chabat’s questions caused a round of laughter in parliament. But what amused the MPs who attended the session even more was Chabat’s question to Benkirane, asking about his ties with the Israeli Secret Services, Mossad.
Hamid Chabat has always doubted Benkirane’s loyalty to Morocco, accusing him of backing by the Muslim Brotherhood.
In several previous statements, Chabat claimed that Benkirane does not have the interests of Morocco and the Moroccan people at heart, stressing that he is more loyal to the Muslim Brotherhood.
