Rabat - Morocco plays an important role in the field of nuclear safety, said Tuesday in Rabat, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Yukiya Amano.
In a statement to the press following his meeting with minister-delegate for the Interior, Charkhi Draiss, Amano said Morocco's efforts in the field of preventive nuclear safety takes shape in several scientific institutions, including The National Centre for Nuclear Energy, Sciences and Techniques (CNESTEN) of Maâmoura.
The IAEA and Morocco maintain close relations, he said, expressing his conviction that his visit to the Kingdom will further strengthen cooperation between the two parties.
