Tangier - Tangier will host on May 23, 2014, the second "Tangier-Amsterdam dialogue" international conference under the theme: "European jihadism and its impact on security in the Euro-Mediterranean region."
The conference is a follow-up of the first edition, held in 2013 in Amsterdam, said a statement of the Moroccan Center for Strategic Studies (CMES), which organizes the event.
The European jihadism problem has dangerous ramifications, and poses a real threat to peace and security in the Euro-Mediterranean region in the upcoming years, the statement notes.
Diplomatic figures and experts on security from America, Europe and the MENA region are to participate in this event to discuss the various aspects of the emerging threat of European jihadism.
The meeting will tackle several central themes, including "the profile of individuals, units and jihadist organization established in Europe," "the structure of European jihadism" (logistics support in Europe, terrorists substructure, etc), "strategies to manage jihadists' return" and "the impact of European jihadism on Mediterranean security."
